The brothers were commissioned by the Smithsonian Institute in
Washington, DC to create a Shekere for their new exhibit,
Latin Jazz: La Combinacion Perfecta. This bi-lingual
exhibition explores the history, cultural context, musicians,
places, instruments, and dance aesthetic behind the development of
this musical genre. The Shekere pictured below will be on the fifteen city four year tour
across the United States and the Caribbean.
