Greetings and welcome to the World Wide Web home of the Banda Brothers, Ramon and Tony.

This site will introduce you to these two talented brothers, their various musical projects, rich musical history, including the 24 years they spent as anchors of  the Grammy Award-winning Poncho Sanchez Latin Jazz group.

This web site will also introduce you to their hand-crafted "Shekeres". These beautiful beaded gourds have become favorites to many of the world's leading percussionists. Update! The brothers were commissioned by the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, DC to create a Shekere for their new exhibit, Latin Jazz: La Combinacion Perfecta. This bi-lingual exhibition explores the history, cultural context, musicians, places, instruments, and dance aesthetic behind the development of this musical genre. The Shekere pictured below will be on the fifteen city four year tour across the United States and the Caribbean.

You will soon be able to purchase Banda Brothers Shekeres here on this web site, stay tuned for further details!
